Assistantship Information

The EDLD/SAHE Program hosts a visit day (GA Insight Days) for all of its applicants each year Thursday evening - Friday afternoon during the second week in February. At Insight Days, prospective students will have the opportunity to meet with program faculty, students, and student affairs administrators as well as interview face-to-face with prospective GA supervisors. We strongly encourage prospective students to attend the in-person on-campus event, if possible; but will make opportunities available virtually for those who cannot join us for the event.

Note: Many departments give preference to students in counseling and student development.

Below is a list of Student Affairs departments and campus partners that may offer assistantships. This list is intended only to give you a general idea of assistantships that usually are available and the kind of work they entail. You should know that most departments make assistantship decisions in the spring for the upcoming academic year.
